The Windshield Replacement Process

Another rock hit your windshield again? No worries here's a quick rundown of the process you can expect when you decide to replace your windshield. We know you have a lot going on, so our goal is to make the process as quick and easy as possible.

Understanding Your Options

The first step is letting us know if you will be using insurance or paying out of pocket. Then we will briefly educate you on the quality of the new glass that will be installed into your car as well as our “Chip Guarantee”.

To keep a long story short, we use the Original Equipment Manufactured glass(OEM) that comes pre-installed in your vehicle. The only difference is, there is no logo sticker on the glass. This allows for the best quality material for the lowest possible price. With our Chip Guarantee, we guarantee that chips will not spread, and if they do, we will take the cost and put it towards a new windshield.

Fast and Easy Insurance Claims

Nobody wants to sit on hold, so we will expedite your insurance claim. To save you time and effort we will contact your insurance agent and merge you into the call when necessary. Then you will provide the who, what, where, when, and why of your claim and go over the deductible. The last piece of information you will have to provide is your vehicle's VIN, this is to ensure the correct windshield is ordered for your car.

Appointment

Now the annoying part is over! All you have to do is choose a time and place where we can come and install your new windshield. Don't be afraid to have this done at work it's not a big deal, we just need access to your keys wherever you decide to have us go. We work around your schedule so don't worry about freeing up any time for this.

Recalibration

Advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) rely on cameras mounted on the windshield. We'll check if your car has ADAS and if recalibration is necessary to ensure these systems function properly after the replacement. This does not apply to all cars, however, some cars are required to have a recalibration, and failure to do so can result in their insurance being nullified. Recalibrations usually only take about 15 minutes.

After Care

There isn't much to worry about once your installation is complete. Our technician will give you a quick run-down on what to do and avoid to keep the glass perfect.

  • Keep the blue tape on for 24 hours
  • No car washes for 5 days
  • Wait at least 30 minutes before driving your car
